Current Project-

We are currently working on a project to save the historic Shelby-Tennant school from demolition.  This project can not be done without the support and assistance of our entire community.

Some of the ideas our group has come up with are much needed daycare facility.

A fitness center for the community with supervised activities for children on weekends.

Youth basketball, baseball and soccer leagues. Several leagues coaches have shown interest and also would be willing to assist in maintaining the facilities.

Adults could use either one of the gyms to walk during inclimate weather. 

The old gym, kitchen, and stage could be permanently made into a reception hall for weddings, parties, dances, etc.

The second floor could be used as a area history museum.  There are many items of interest from the old school, antique photos and community members that could be displayed.

Office area's on the first floor for business ventures.

 There are so many possibilities for this restored historic building that the only thing to hold us back is imagination.
